Mumps at the FFA Convention...

CHD is aware that there was a case of mumps at the FFA convention in Indiana last week. Per the case investigation, the risk of transmission to students that attended the conference was 'very low'. Currently, no suspected or confirmed cases of mumps have been reported in Champaign County. As always, we diligently watch for these types of infectious diseases and act on issues when they arise.
The most effective ways to avoid infection with mumps and other related illnesses are hand washing and timely vaccination. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns!
