NACCHO announces Accreditation Support Initiative awardees NACCHO is pleased to announce the selection of 23 local health departments and three public health departments from US territories/freely associated states for the 2015 - 2016 Accreditation Support Initiative (ASI), which will run through June 2016. Totaling nearly $360,000, awards* will support the Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) accreditation preparation efforts of health departments. Now in its fifth year, the ASI is made possible by funding and support from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Office for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support. The selected health departments represent 20 different states and three US territories/freely associated states and a wide range of population sizes, jurisdiction types, and accreditation readiness needs.
