Newborn Home Visit Program

Welcoming a newborn to your home is a very exciting time! The home visiting nurses at Champaign Health district would like to take the opportunity to welcome your bundle of joy and present you with a new baby gift.  During this home visit, the nurse will do a quick assessment on both you and your baby to ensure everything is going well. The nurse will check on feeding, development, and mental health. Our nurses are a wonderful resource for many services in the community and will help you with these referrals as needed.

Any resident of Champaign County that has a newborn under six weeks of age qualifies for a Newborn Home Visit from  Champaign Health District.  You may be referred by the hospital, WIC, or Help Me Grow.  If you do not believe you have been referred for a Newborn Home Visit or you want to check on your referral, please call 937-484-1667.
